The Muse Online Writers Conference

The ONLY online conference of its kind!

CHAT GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW:

Do NOT pose a question before the moderator has asked you.  For the moderator to log who is in line to pose the next question,  place a ? in front of your name, like this:
Lea:?
In order to keep things moving, once you have placed the ?, begin typing your question to have it ready so when the moderator calls on you, all you have to do is press the send button.
No rudeness, no asking questions before you're asked or you may find yourself banned from our next conference.

THE CLOCK IS SET AT EASTERN TIME.

Below the chat room a schedule of the upcoming workshops to be held in this room will be posted.

DECEMBER 2009

UPCOMING NEW PITCH SESSION WITH:

Morrigan Books

Publisher - Mark S. Deniz

DETAILS: By November 20th send me your first draft pitch to: museitupeditor@yahoo.ca with MORRIGAN PITCH on the subject heading.
Please go to Morrigan Books' website and study this publishing house to get a feel for what they are seeking.

Pitch should be no longer than 125 words, this does not include your name, title, genre, word count.

Be prepared to answer questions from the publisher such as:

who is your target audience
who would you say your writing voice is comparable to
what the dark part of your manuscript is and how it affects your character

Above are just sample questions and not necesarily the questions the publisher will ask but better prepared than not. Also have on hand a brief bio and  marketing plan in case he asks.

Only pitches sent in by the deadline will be considered.

In the meantime those who believe will be pitching a READY TO GO manuscript, contact me so I can put you in the database.
Once I have at least five writers I will set a date with the publisher for the December pitch session.
